About us

on the beach at San Leone
Walk out of the gate and you are on the sand. The beach at San Leone starts where the campsite ends: no road, no car. And the sunset is right in front of you.
In summer you park in the real shade of tall eucalyptus and pines. Under the wood you can breathe even in July, and in the evening the van is not baking.
Open every day of the year. In November too, in January too, when almost everything around here is shut: in winter you find plenty of room, an empty beach and the temples with no queue.
At the entrance fly the flags of our guests: Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, England — and those are not all: half of Europe comes through this gate. We are a family campsite: if you need something, just ask — and we take care of it straight away.

The showers are hot and cost 50 cents: they run for three and a half minutes and have a stop button, so no water is wasted while you soap up. The washing machine is 5 euros a load. Every pitch has a 6 amp electrical hook-up. There is a motorhome service point on site.
From May to November the bar and the kitchen are open on site: you do not have to go out to eat. The WiFi is free in the common areas of the restaurant and the bar. There is a playground under the pines for children, and a shelf where books are swapped. Your dog is welcome and pays no supplement.

Breakfast at the bar, dinner at your pitch
Coffee and cappuccino at the bar in the morning, fresh bread and cornetti all year round if you order them the evening before. In the evening, Sicilian rosticceria: to take away, or brought to your pitch on request. You order from your phone, with no app to download.

Mornings
From May to November the bar opens at 8: coffee, cappuccino, cornetti. Fresh bread and cornetti all year round: order them on WhatsApp by 10 pm and they are waiting for you at 8 at reception; you pay in cash when you collect them.
Evenings
From May to November, from 6 pm, the rosticceria: arancine, panelle, pizza by the slice, calzoni, caponata, and pasta and main courses from the kitchen. To take away from the bar or, on request, at your pitch.
Everything is cooked fresh, with our own Sicilian rosticceria. No frozen trays reheated in a microwave.

In summer the sea here is calm and you swim. From October it changes: the waves come in and the wind picks up. Anyone who surfs, windsurfs, kites or wings knows it — and here you park the van a few steps from the water.

What you need after a day in the water is here: a hot shower and power at the pitch to recharge. The site is open every day of the year: in exactly the months when the sea is working, almost everything around here is shut.
We do not hire equipment and we are not a school: you bring your own board. We give you the pitch, the water a few steps away and a hot shower when you come out.
I found beautiful waves for surfing, and there is certainly no shortage of wind for me, as a windsurfer and kitesurfer.

The bus stop is a hundred metres away
From there you reach the Valley of the Temples and the centre of Agrigento. If you arrive by train or plane you do not need a car. And if you go out to dinner in town, you come back without driving. The nearest supermarket is about two and a half kilometres away.
